Create a new project

On this step you need to select a folder on your computer that contains the files and folders for the new project, and also you will need to choose a name for the new project.

Choosing a project folder

Timeline project is a folder in a Subversion repository that corresponds to one folder together with its contents on your computer, so in order to create a project you need to choose a folder on your computer that will be a top-level folder in the new project. To understand better why it is important to create a project please see the Timeline project section.

Important: please note that the folders that already contain files belonging to some Timeline project cannot be used as a top-level folder for a new project. If you try to select one of these folders you will get an error message and you will need to choose another folder.

Choosing a name for your project

By default the name of your project is the same as the name of the top-level folder of the project, but you can change the project name if you wish.
