Window elements
Timeline window may be subdivided into the following elements
History pane
History pane holds the thumbnails representing versions of the active file in Photoshop.
The number in the top left hand corner of the picture is the number of the version.
The version that you are working with (i.e. the version that is currently stored on your computer) has a thin green frame around it and the number highlighted with green colour. Also, there is a special thumbnail that represents a version that has not been submitted. This thumbnail appears in your history pane when you have done some changes in your file that have not been submitted. This "unsubmitted" version has red number square with the question mark instead of the version number and red thin frame.
To perform some action on a version you will need to select that version in the history pane. To select a version just click it once. The selected version has a bold blue frame around it.
Button panel
All operations on file versions are performed with a set of buttons located at the bottom of the window.
The buttons correspond to the following actions:
- Get version
- Submit version
- Revert your changes
- Get version info
- Lock/unlock the currently selected file
Menu button
Menu button is in the top right corner.
By pressing this button you can invoke Timeline menu.
Timeline menu allows you to start Timeline Assistant, adjust Timeline settings, open the help file or see the About window.
