Quick Start Guide

To start using Timeline Lite, you need to follow these simple instructions:

1. Create a PixelNovel account

To start using Timeline Lite you will need to create an account for your files on PixelNovel server.

When you create an account, a personal folder is allocated for you on PixelNovel server. Timeline will store your files together with their history in this folder. To create a project please visit http://www.pixelnovel.com/signup

2. Install Timeline Lite plugin

After your have registered with PixelNovel, you will be able to download the Timeline Lite plugin installer. Double-click on the installer file and follow its steps.

3. Create a project

After the installation Timeline connects to your PixelNovel account and then you can create projects (folders) for your files inside your account. A project corresponds to one folder on your computer together with its subfolders. To learn more about Timeline projects please see the Timeline project section. To help you create a project we have provided Timeline Project Assistant application that starts automatically after installation. Just follow assistant's instructions that will guide you through the project creation process. The Project Assistant section provides more information on the assistant steps.

4. Log into your account

On the second step of the Project Assistant you will be asked to provide your PixelNovel account, and also your email and the password for your account. In the authorization form there is an option to remember you login information. If you tick this option you will not be asked for your password anymore, otherwise you will need to provide your login information when you start Adobe Photoshop.

5. Your first file version

Once the project is created you can submit your files into it - just open any of the files within the project folder in Adobe Photoshop and press the "Submit" button in the Timeline window.
